Gorget Rosette, Light Beige

Officer's Gorgets of the 17th to 19th Centuries were suspended by sets of ribbons with a formed rosette on the ends. The rosettes acted as an anchor for the ribbon as well as a decoration on the face of the gorget. The ends of the ribbons were tied around the neck or attached to the lapel, collar or epaulette buttons depending on the uniform pattern and regimental practices of the time. Although the ribbons had generally been the colour of the regimental facings, an order of May 4th, 1796 confirmed this practice. Our ribbons are made by hand of quality satin with finely detailed rosettes. Per Pair.
