Ordering

We require some basic information to process your order. Billing and shipping information is requested along with payment information. Credit card numbers and expiration dates are required for billing purposes, but are not saved on our website. Contact information such as your e-mail address and phone number is used only to confirm your order, or for contact purposes should we have trouble processing an order. We neither solicit by telephone nor release this information to other companies.

Cookies

A cookie is a small data file stored on your computer's hard drive that contains information relating to your visit to our site, such as currency selection and shopping cart contents. When you leave and then return to our site, this information is recalled to improve the shopping experience. For example, if there was an interruption while browsing the Internet, your shopping cart selections would still be available, in the currency you had selected, the next time you connected to our site.

E-mail

Once you have placed an order, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order. You will also receive a second e-mail once your order has been shipped from our warehouse. Coghlin and Upton Inc. will not use e-mail to solicit our customers, unless you have set your e-mail preferences to receive e-mail newsletters or promotions.

We encourage customers to e-mail us their questions or comments. We read and respond to all the e-mails we receive. In cases where a customer shares useful information and we would like to share it with other customers, we will do so only with the customer's authorization and without directly identifying the customer.

Sharing

We use outside delivery services to ship orders and a credit card processing company to bill customers for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. If you ever have a problem with billing or shipping, you should contact us directly and we will resolve the problem with you.

Security

At Coghlin and Upton Inc., we have taken every precaution to protect our customers' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off.

Whenever you enter sensitive information like your credit card number on our site, it is encrypted and protected with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This web protocol uses a private key to encrypt data that is transferred over a secure connection between our servers and your machine. While on a secure page such as our payment page, a closed lock icon will appear in your web browser (e.g., Microsoft Internet Explorer).

This icon will appear unlocked or disappear completely when you are viewing a non-secure page. The URL or address of the page will also confirm if the page you are viewing is secure: if the address starts with https (as opposed to just http), you are viewing a secure page using SSL. To learn more about SSL, visit www.comodo.com.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect customer information offline. All of our customers' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted to employees who need the information for their specific duties. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up to date on our security and privacy practices. Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Notification of Changes

We will post changes to our Privacy Policy on our homepage so our customers are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

Should Coghlin and Upton Inc. decide to use personal information in any manner different from that stated at the time of collection, we will contact customers via e-mail to obtain consent for the proposed new use. Any individual has the right to refuse consent for their personal information to be used for a purpose other than that which was originally stated.
